Anthurium 'Amazon Diamond' is a striking foliage anthurium, a hybrid prized for its deep, velvety, dark green leaves with bold, contrasting silvery-white veining. The leaves are heart-shaped to elongated, with a rich texture that catches light beautifully. Mature plants form a compact, bushy clump and rarely flower, since the foliage is the main attraction.
Light: Bright, indirect light suits it best. Filtered light from an east-facing window or under shade cloth works well. Direct afternoon sun scorches the leaves, while too little light dulls the veining and causes leggy growth.
Watering: Keep the mix lightly moist but never soggy. Water when the top 2-3 cm of the medium feels dry. Use a chunky, airy mix (orchid bark, perlite, coco chips, charcoal) so roots get oxygen and drain freely.
Environment: It thrives in 20-30°C with high humidity, ideally 70% or more. Avoid cold drafts and stagnant air.
Feeding: Apply a diluted balanced fertilizer every 3-4 weeks during active growth.
