Heliconia 'Lady Di Variegated' is an extraordinary tropical perennial prized for its striking cream-and-green striped foliage and erect, vibrant red-and-yellow blooms. Because of its delicate variegated leaves, this cultivar requires a bit of extra attention to thrive.

• Lighting: Provide bright, indirect light or partial morning sun. While standard heliconias love full sun, harsh afternoon rays can easily scorch the cream-colored, chlorophyll-lacking sections of these variegated leaves. Conversely, too much shade diminishes flowering and fades the distinct striping.

• Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist. Water thoroughly whenever the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, ensuring the pot or garden bed has excellent drainage to prevent root rot. Reduce watering slightly in cooler months.

• Care & Humidity: This rainforest native craves high humidity and warm temperatures between 21–29°C. Plant in rich, organic soil and feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced fertilizer to fuel its vigorous growth.
