Anthurium Hookeri

Anthurium hookeri, commonly known as the Bird's Nest Anthurium, is a striking tropical epiphyte prized for its lush, architectural foliage rather than its flowers. Native to the Caribbean and South America, it features massive, elongated green leaves with distinct rippled edges and a prominent central midrib. These ruffled, leathery leaves grow in a classic rosette or "bird's nest" formation, perfectly adapted to catch falling debris and water in its natural rainforest canopy habitat. It’s an exceptional statement plant that brings a bold, jungle aesthetic to any indoor space or shaded garden.

Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Protect it from harsh, direct rays, which will quickly scorch its large leaves. It can tolerate medium light, though its growth rate will noticeably slow.

Water thoroughly only when the top 2 inches of the potting mix feel completely dry. Like most epiphytes, its roots are highly susceptible to rot, so the soil should remain lightly moist but never continuously waterlogged.
