Anthurium Radicans vs. Luxurians
Anthurium Radicans vs. Luxurians
Both are popular bullate (blistered-texture), rainforest aroids, often confused as one plant. Radicans has smaller, heart-shaped leaves with a slender, pointed tip. Luxurians grows larger, broader, oval leaves with a less pronounced heart shape and a thicker, more rugged texture.
Care & Lighting: Both need bright, indirect light — direct sun scorches their textured leaves, while too little light causes leggy growth and leaf drop.
Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil dry out; use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix for airflow around roots. Avoid letting them sit wet.
Humidity: Both thrive at high humidity, but mist sparingly — trapped moisture on the bullate leaves invites fungal issues. A humidifier or pebble tray is safer than direct misting.
