Hoya heuschkeliana variegata

A trailing epiphytic vine from the Philippines, prized for its heart-shaped leaves with creamy white edges around green centers, and clusters of fragrant, waxy pink-ish flowers.

Lighting: Bright, indirect light is essential — an east/west window or filtered south light works well. Too little light causes leggy growth and fading variegation; direct sun scorches the pale leaf edges.

Watering: Let the top 1–2 inches of soil dry out before watering (more in bright light, less in low light). This Hoya tolerates underwatering far better than overwatering — mushy or yellowing leaves signal root rot.

Care: Use a chunky, well-draining mix (orchid bark + perlite). Prefers warmth (65–85°F) and moderate-to-high humidity; keep away from cold drafts and vents.
