Red Torch Ginger lily/ Etlingera eliator red

Red Torch Ginger Lily (Etlingera elatior) is a stunning tropical plant known for its vibrant red, torch-shaped flower heads and lush, upright foliage. Native to Southeast Asia, it creates an exotic tropical look and makes an excellent feature plant for gardens, borders, and large containers. Its bold flowers are also popular for floral arrangements and can appear throughout warm growing conditions.

Lighting: Prefers bright, indirect light or partial shade. It enjoys gentle morning sunlight but should be protected from intense afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during warm weather. Water thoroughly when the surface begins to dry, but avoid waterlogging and poor drainage.

Care: Plant in rich, fertile, well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter. Maintain good humidity, mulch around the base to conserve moisture, and protect it from strong winds. Feed periodically with a balanced organic or slow-release fertilizer for vigorous growth and flowering.
